Remove Jailbreak

A successful iOS 10 jailbreak means that jailbreakers can finally get back to Cydia and back to downloading their favorite Cydia tweaks on their newly jailbroken iOS 10 devices. When a new jailbreak is released there are the inevitable problems to deal with and, with iOS 10 jailbreak, there would be only a few tweaks that are fully compatible to Cydia iOS 10 at the moment of its release .

Removing a jailbreak is a relatively simple process though and, when complete, there will be no trace of a jailbreak ever having been on your device in the first place.

How to Remove iOS 10 Jailbreak from iPhone :

  1. Cydia Impactor

Cydia Impactor is a very popular and useful tool that allows you to remove a jailbreak without updating your device to the latest iOS firmware. This is a good tool to use in cases where you need to remove the jailbreak but the iOS firmware has been updated to a version that does not have a current jailbreak. It is also useful for those who want to remove the jailbreak but to retain the ability to reinstall it if they want to.

  1. Restore Your iOS Device

By using iTunes to restore you iPhone you can remove the jailbreak and have your iPhone updated to the latest iOS version. Here’s how to do it :

  1. Connect your iOS device to your computer
  2. Open iTunes iTunes open iphone 6
  3. Pick your device from the list on the top left itunes summary device select
  4. Click on Restore iPhone | iPad

You now have two choices – restore as a new device or restore to a previous backup. The latter requires you to choose the backup that you want to restore to. The first option requires that you download the iOS 10 IPSW file that you want to restore to.

  1. Delete the Cydia Icon

Okay, so this won’t actually delete the jailbreak from your iPhone; all it will do is remove the Cydia app icon from your home screen.

  1. On your Home screen, locate the Cydia app on but do not open the app
  2. Tap the icon and hold it until it starts to wiggledelete_cydia0
